Home School Partnership Agreement

 

Part 1 - Parents/Carers agree to the following

  • Adhere fully to the rules/policies of MCWAS. 

  • Stay up to date on communication via WhatsApp Broadcast / the Google Classroom portal on a regular basis. 

  • Spend at least 1 hour (20mins for each subject) every week to help my child with any homework and discuss the weekly learning outcome.  

  • Ensure that my child listens to the Surah they are learning on the Juz Amma playlist (Surah Naba - Surah Nas & Surah Fatiha) as often as possible. (www.mcwas.org/resources).

  • Will ensure that my child arrives on time with their folder and resources and is also collected on time.

  • If my child loses any resources we will pay for a replacement.

  • Agree to contribute £10 if you are more than 15 minutes late without informing us in advance.

  • I will attend any meetings to which we are invited to discuss my child's progress and will not request extended leave during term time (only in exceptional circumstances will this be considered).   

  • Will always inform management if my child is absent. Please note that children are taken off the roll if they miss school for two consecutive sessions or are late for three consecutive sessions.

    Part 2 - MCWAS agrees to the following

  • Will ensure that parents/carers are provided with relevant information so that they can support their children effectively.

  • Parents will be kept informed of any changes to the published schedules or the curriculum. 

  • Will respond to any enquiries raised by parents at the earliest opportunity. 

  • Parents are requested to consider the offer before accepting a place for their child. 

    What MCWAS offers

  • Learning about Islam with understanding and acquiring skills needed for a British Muslim.

  • Learning is matched to age and developmental stage. 

  • Opportunities for academic and social development.

  • Learning based on the Syllabus which has been developed and tested.

  • Developing the child with a strong partnership with parents.  Support from parents is essential for pupils to make good progress.

  • All essential learning resources are provided without additional cost

  • Children taught in a maximum class size of 20 pupils. 

  • All pupils move forward together at a steady pace and cover the curriculum over an academic year.

  • Termly tests will be undertaken to establish that the child has grasped the learning modules before being admitted to the next class.


    What MCWAS does not offer

  • We do not teach the memorisation of the whole Qur’an (please see curriculum for more details).

  • The learning offered is tailored to the needs of the class and not for each individual child.

  • Ilm Hub fees are non-refundable.

  • MCWAS  policies are set with consultation as deemed necessary.

  • MCWAS has no obligation to offer anything other than what is included in the above offer.
